McADDAM II can turn any Windows or MacOS computer into a powerful data acquisition workstation. To use any or all of our products, one McADDAM II is needed per computer. McADDAM II (Multi-channel Analog to Digital Data Acquisition Module) is a versatile, powerful interface which supports Intelitool transducers, both present and future. McADDAM II has 8 analog input channels which can measure voltages of -5 to 5 volts. The analog data is converted to a 12 bit number by McADDAM II. This means that McADDAM II can resolve voltage changes of 10V / 212 or 0.00244 volts. Each McADDAM II input connector has power outputs of ±5V, and ±12V which enables it to power a wide array of transducers. McADDAM II is a microprocessor controlled device which has sophisticated internal control commands and can be configured to gather data in many different ways. McADDAM II has 128k of internal RAM which allows it to sample and store up to 64k of two byte samples safely even if the computer is too busy to accept the data or the sampling rate is too fast to get it through the serial port. Any input or any set of inputs, up to all eight, can sample simultaneously at the same rate or at independent rates. McADDAM II communicates with your computer at rates up to 115,200 bits per second through a serial port. McADDAM II has several different trigger modes where data capture can be fully automated on the onset of a particular feature in either the data itself or on an external trigger (independent of the data). McADDAM II can pre-sample data up to 64k samples before a triggering event occurs.
